Albuquerque Area Extension Master Gardener Program

We are community volunteers trained in horticulture by the New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service. We can answer both general and specific questions about all aspects of growing things.

News and Announcements

We can help you understand the science of the various soils in our area and tell you what grows best here. We can help with those pesky entomology, or bug, problems. We have up-to-date information about plant botany, plant diseases, growing fruits and vegetables, caring for your lawn, and growing roses. Are you interested in xeriscaping? We have information about that as well.  We are here to help you develop gardens that will thrive and be beautiful in our arid landscape.

Look through our frequently asked questions (FAQs). Explore our resources. If you can’t find an answer please click the Ask a Question link above to go to the question submittal form.  Once your question has been submitted someone will contact you to help you solve your problem.
